Xavier University through its Social Development Office successfully delivered the second wave of donations (100 sacks of rice and 300 bottles of drinking water) to Dinagat Island. The relief goods were transported on January 14, 2022 through the transport vehicle provided by the LGU Cagayan de Oro, arrived and unloaded in Dinagat Island at its Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) on January 16, 2022.

Another deployment trip is scheduled on January 21, 2022 with the same amount of goods intended for Surigao mainland and Siargao Island through the Catholic Diocese of Surigao.

The University continues to accept donations through BPI bank and cash offerings at the University Church (with explicit intention for typhoon victims).  Xavier University is grateful to all cash and in-kind donors and would like to ask everyone to invite others to contribute any amount and useful goods they can afford to share with the typhoon survivors.
