Department of English Language and Literature faculty Dr Carthelyn C Adajar and Ms Lumin Christy A Sario had the opportunity to be trained under internationally acclaimed linguists, authors and educators Donna Brinton and Jan Frodesen and had the privilege to converse with US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson during the intensive language training workshops sponsored by the US Embassy last May 15-19, 2023 in Manila.

Adajar and Sario will also share information, strategies, and techniques through follow-on training sessions to other English teachers from the region or home community to strengthen language learning in the country.
