Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan and James Cook University, Australia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for academic cooperation through Dr. Ma. Cecilia Ferolin, Director of KRC and Dr. Gina Itchon, Head of the School of Medicine research unit.

The MoU will facilitate the exchange of faculty and graduate students from the two institutions.  XU is recognized as a partner university for Cook University Master in Development Practice, MDP.

MDP is a two-year degree providing graduate-level students with the skills and knowledge to identify and address the challenges of poverty alleviation, health, conservation, climate change and agriculture. James Cook University is one of a network of universities world wide to develop and offer this program with funding from the US-based MacArthur Foundation.
