The Vicente B Bello Scholarship Program is currently extending support in the form of monthly allowance to 14 scholars from Xavier. Six more students are being considered for the scholarship.

Apart from meeting with the scholars in the campus, Dr Talavera also paid home visits to two scholars, Reymart Lampago, 1st year BS Chemical Engineering 1, and Felimino Hinampas Jr., 1st year BS Chemistry.

Most Vicente B Bello scholars in Xavier are accountancy majors. Next year, the program will focus on supporting students taking up engineering and science courses, except pre-med.

Presently, there are 300 scholars in 11 academic institutions around the country supported by the said scholarship program.
