The College of Arts and Sciences Economics Department concluded a Lecture on "The Philippine Economic Outlook 2011" by Dr. Victor A. Abola last July 2, 2011 at AVR 4.

 
Dr. Abola is one of the foremost economic minds in the country. He currently serves as the executive director of two market think tanks, namely the Roberto F. de Ocampo (RFO) Center for Public Finance and Regional Economic Cooperation and the First Market Incorporated Corp. (FMIC) and University and Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) Capital Market Research. Besides his involvement in Economic research, Dr. Abola is also active in the academe. He is a lecturer on Principles of Money and Banking in the Management Associates Program of the Development Bank of the Philippines as well as the Program Director of the Strategic Business Economics Program of the UA&P School of Economics. He is the author of various economic literature, which includes “Money, Banking and Finance” (2006), “Basic Economics: 2nd edition” (co authored with Dr. Bernardo Villegas, 2010), and “The Evolution of the Philippine Financial System” (1999). Dr. Abola holds a Ph.D. in Development Management and MS in Industrial Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific.
