Xavier University is helping close to 700 of its faculty, staff and students who were affected by TS Sendong. Many of whom lost their homes and loved ones.

The Covered Court has been transformed into a temporary shelter for families of affected XU community members. Relief assistance in kind is being provided through Operation Tabang Sendong.The guidance and counseling offices, campus ministry offices, pyschology faculty and students, and nursing faculty and students are also facilitating debriefing sessions with the affected individuals.

In addition, the University is granting an interest-free calamity loan of up to P12,000.00 to fulltime employees, and increased the Death Aid Benefit from P30,000.00 to P50,000.00 for the death of an employee and P5,000.00 Death Aid for each immediate family member (i.e. spouse, children and parents).
