XU Libraries’ American Corner is inviting everyone to a lecture presentation on “Pop Culture vs Real America” by Ms Robin D Diallo, Counselor for Public Affairs at the US Embassy in Manila, in celebration of the 27th anniversary of the American Corner.

The American Corner (AC) is a joint partnership project of Xavier University and the US Embassy-Public Affairs Section, Manila.  Established on November 19, 1984, XU-AC is the first AC in the Philippines.  It is part of a network of 14 ACs throughout the nation.  This event is a historic commemoration of the promotion of cooperation and understanding between the United States and the Philippines by providing current and factual information about the United States, its people and its policies.

The talk will be held Nov 28, 3pm at the American Corner Lecture Room, 2nd floor, Main Library Building.
