1.    Characteristic of Jesuit Education.

Jesuit education celebrates faith in personal and community prayer, worship and service. The obedience of our Lord Jesus Christ to His Father’s led Him to give of Himself totally in the service of others; a relationship to God necessarily involves a relationship to other persons. Jesuit education promotes a faith that is centered on the historical person of our Lord Jesus Christ, which therefore leads to a commitment to imitate Him as the “Man for others”.

2.    The 1st Year Family Day will be held this Saturday, November 26, 2011 in the Covered Courts.  In partnership with the Studies Department, Social Order Club, and the PSTAG, the Freshmen Family Day has for its theme: “Pista ng Bayan.”

3.    Next Monday, November 28, 2011, we will be having our Reading of Honors Convocation for the second quarter honor students. The list of honor roll is posted on the bulletin board located at the main lobby. Honor students are reminded to invite their parents to come and attend the convocation.

4.    On Thursday this week, November 24, 2011, at 4:00 P.M., honor students are reminded to proceed to the Covered Courts and report to Mr. Vincent Padilla for a briefing regarding the Reading of Honors’ Convocation.

5.    Confirmation orientation for all 2nd & 4th year students who are not yet conferred will be today, November 21, 2011, 4:00-5:30 P.M. at Faber Building last floor.  Please come on time.

6.    Students & class moderators are reminded to please return the remaining PJAA envelopes even if it is empty. We need to account the remaining envelopes that some classes did not return. We would like to extend our gratitude to all who generously shared to the PJAA November Souls’ Drive especially the following top 5 classes:

  • Music Festival, 3rd Year Level, 4 P.M., Covered Courts c/o the Social Order Club (SOC). All third year students are requested to attend this activity.

  • Asian Dance Contest for the Second Year Level, 4:00 P.M., Covered Courts c/o SOC. All second year students are required to attend this event. The venue will be specified by the Social Studies subject teachers.

10.    Important Announcements Regarding Membership in Extra and Co-curricular Club Membership:

a)    Per school policy, each senior student must be a member of at least one organization in order to qualify for graduation. This policy also means seniors with no clubs cannot march with their batch mates during the graduation ceremony in March 2012.

As a final consideration, any senior with no organization as of November 21, 2011 will automatically apply for membership only in two clubs namely the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts today and tomorrow, November 21 and 22, 2011.

b)    Each student is entitled to be a member in at most only two organizations. Those who have more than this number must inform their class moderators and the Registrar in writing about the two clubs they have finally chosen. They have to cease their membership in the third and other clubs.

13.    Congratulations to  Jeska Brendt Belonio of 3-Bobola for having been awarded a Certificate of Distinction by the Educational Assessment Australia and the Mathematics Guild of the Philippines (MTAP) for her commendable participation in the 2011 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools.

The final “s” after a consonant is hissed (like the sound of a snake)
      Wants    pants     wears    gets      greets     vowels    wears    ads   gets     burns

The final “s” after a vowel is vocalized, namely, with a “z” buzzing sound similar to that of bees.

Exception:  the final “s” in the following words is also vocalized with a “z” buzzing sound:
