The Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA) will hold YAMUG 5 - a Mindanao Folk Literature Conference on October 19, 2012 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Xavier University Little Theater.  YAMUG 5 is a project under the Cultural Education program of XCCA in celebration of the National Indigenous People’s Month.

This year’s YAMUG incorporates discussions on tradition, folk ways and folk characteristics as reflected on the folk literatures of Maguindanao, Subanen and T’boli for the purpose of Cultural Understanding.  Speakers of this conference are cultural leaders and experts of each cultural community.

Students and faculty members are invited to join YAMUG 5.  This lecture series is a good learning avenue for us to deepen our sense of culture and art appreciation, awareness, and understanding.

The registration fee is Php150.00 for professional participants and Php50.00 for students.  A certificate of participation will be given to all registered participants who will finish the lecture series.

For confirmation of attendance, please call Mr Jonathan Madronero through 858-3116 local 2059.  You may also text us through 09173270522.
