The Xavier University Community Credit Cooperative (XUCCCO) culminated its 25th anniversary with a SportsFest consisting of Samba, Pinoy and Ball Games on October 7 at the Covered Courts.

Since its founding in 1987, XUCCCO has been serving its members through financial assistance, loans, death-aid, and “Pabaon” benefits, to name a few.
 
“Nakatabang ug ayo sa Xavier Community ang XUCCCO kay dili naman sila maglisod ug pangita kung asa makakuha ug financial assistance,” said Mrs Mel Villegas, one of the earliest XUCCCO members. 

XUCCCO was started by then XU President Fr Ernesto Javier SJ in response to Xavier employees seeking financial assistance from the President’s Office, Villegas added.

Started with 116 members, the cooperative now has 742 regular members and 277 associates. The organization is headed by Ms Jessica S Dacera, manager, and Ms Tess R Daba, chair of the board.

XUCCCO’s silver anniversary culmination was also in line with the celebration of the Cooperative Month themed, “Kooperatiba ay Pagyamanin, mga Kasapi Paramihin.”
