Our University Libraries received a free one-year subscription to Proquest Central, the largest aggregated full-text database in the market with over 19,000 titles, from the Philippine eLib Project of CHED.

The database contains scholarly journals and other resources related to business and economics, health and medicine, news and world affairs, science, education, technology, humanities, social sciences, psychology, literature, law and women studies.

To access the database, log on to http://search.proquest.com/login and type the temporary username ELPHECHEP and password 0441ph.  A new username and password will be provided in September.

The XU Libraries are encouraging everyone to avail of the free subscription, which will last until August 31, 2013, as the continuance of the free offer will be based on the utilization of the database by participating institutions.

One can also log on to www.elib.gov.ph to access the local database of the Philippine eLib project.
