The Xavier Stage, a repertory company of Xavier University, has been chosen to represent Northern Mindanao to the 4th National Theatre Festival on November 8-18, 2012 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This theatre festival aims at defining a new environment in which theatre artists, practitioners, cultural workers and audiences are engaged in; determining the strengths and weaknesses of theatre as practiced in various contexts in the Philippines; and formulating strategies that the community can pursue collectively for Philippine theatre to have an impact locally, nationally and globally. This is also an avenue to put the university and city on the map of Philippine Theatre, as one of the strategic goals of The Xavier Stage. 

A kick-off performance of "Isa Pang Kawing" was staged on November 6 at 3 pm and 7:30 pm at the XU Little Theatre.
