DIGI – ART COMPETITION
Guidelines:
A. DIGI – Art Competition is open to all artists based in Northern Mindanao whose works can be of various formats, including still digital image, animation, software art or aesthetic programs, web or net art, ASCII art, sound art and experimental forms of computer art on the theme: “Celebrating Filipino Icons.” The theme is in line with the National Arts Month’s tribute to the cultural icons that enrich and promote our Filipino Heritage;
B. Artwork formats shall be transmissible, executable and viewable through the Internet and can be posted in the XU Website and on other PANAGHUPONG 5: DIGI – ART Competition On line Promotion. For Sound Experimentation and Animations, these shall be formatted for streaming;
C. Since there will be an installation and exhibition on February 6, 2013, the artists must be able to set up their artworks;
D. Interested Artists can submit at the most three entries. They can submit old or new works as long as they have not won any major Digi – Art competitions;
E. Prizes:
Champion - 5, 000.00 + Certificate
1st Runner – up - 3, 500.00 + Certificate
2nd Runner – up - 2, 000.00 + Certificate
All non-winning artists will have their works included in the exhibition, and they are given certificates of participation: and
F. Deadline of submission of works is on or before February 9, 2013. Submit your entry in Softcopy, DVD, and Data Files to:

KANTA’T GILIW - a Glee Competition
and
WALANG BIRO WALANG BIRIT – Song Solo Competition
February 11, 2013, 7:00 pm @ XU Little Theater
Guidelines:
A. KANTA’T GILIW – a Glee Competition is open to all the Student Councils of Xavier University –Ateneo de Cagayan. This competition is also open to Xavier University High School ;
B. Membership of the choir is limited to a minimum of SIX (6) and a maximum of TEN (10) singers;
C. The choir may be an SATB, All-Male, or All-Female choir;
D. Accompanists may play for more than one choir during the Competition, and minus one accompaniment can also done;
E. All songs shall be performed from memory and without scores, in any order;
F. Total performance must be FIVE (5) to SEVEN (7) minutes only;
G. Choreography shall be incorporated in the performance;
H. Violation to any guideline for KANTA’T GILIW would mean a 3 point deduction per violation; and
I. In WALANG BIRO WALANG BIRIT, the contestant shall sing an Original Filipino Music composition (OPM) either in Tagalog, Cebuano, English, or any Filipino dialect. Strictly no Belting. Violation to this means disqualification.
Criteria for Judging
Vocal Quality and Performance (Intonation, Tone Quality, etc) 40%
Musicality/ Musicianship (Interpretation and Style) 30%
Expression and Choreography (Stage Presence) 20%
Audience Impact 10 %
