In the recent release of the QS Asia University Rankings for 2025, Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan secured the 13th spot among the 25 listed universities in the Philippines, ranking 140th in Southeast Asia and placing within the 801-850 bracket in overall Asia. This recognition is a testament to the university’s growing reputation in the regional and global academic realm. In 2024, XU made it to the Top 16 and was in the Top 10 in 2023. XU continues its vision of becoming a leading ASEAN university forming leaders of character.

The QS Asia University Rankings shows the top universities in Asia each year using these indicators: Academic reputation (30%), Employer reputation (20%), Faculty/student ratio (10%), International Research network (10%), Citations per paper (10%) and papers per faculty (5%), Staff with a PhD (5%), Proportion of international faculty (2.5%) and proportion of international students (2.5%), Proportion of inbound exchange students (2.5%) and proportion of outbound exchange students (2.5%).
