The Philosophy Department conducted a Metaphysical Conference on Sept 19 and 23 for students of Capitol University and Mindanao University of Science and Technology.

The conference, participated in by over 300 students, tackled politics in the Philippines and the youth's role and participation in politics. It also discussed the influence of technology on modern man and his mindset.

Vicente Carbon and Gabriel Paolo Galang of the Philosophy Department together with Ernesto Neri and Cleb Calimutan were the resource speakers. The conference allowed students to throw questions and discuss with the speakers.

The Metaphysics Class, which spearheaded the conference, is under the instruction of Derrick Bart Pimentel.
