The alumni, faculty, students, sponsors and guests gathered on January 25, 2014 at 5:30 PM at the XU Magis Roof Deck. Xavier University Graduate School wishes to express a sincere gratitude to those, who in one way or the other, had contributed to the successs of the recently concluded Graduate School Dinner for a Cause: “Engaging the Self for the Juvenile and Female Inmates and the Typhoon Yolanda Survivors.
The activity started with a mass at 5:30 P.M. at the University Church followed by the fellowship-dinner at the Magis Roof Deck. Dr Juanito R Demetrio and Mr Roderico Y Dumaug, Graduate School Alumni and Student Council Presidents welcomed the participants. This was followed by an inspiring message from the University President, Fr Roberto C Yap, SJ.
The event was a success. The activity was able to raise the amount for the water tank of the juvenile and female inmates of BJMP-CDO, and for the medical support of typhoon Yolanda survivors.
It was a night of fun, good food and pleasant music. Those present danced, played “games for a cause”, posed in a make-shift “shoot for a cause” photobooth and made a toast to the highest solicitor.
Dr Isaias S Sealza, Graduate School Dean, gave the closing message. The fireworks display left everybody in high spirits as the activity concluded.
