The Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA), Research Institute for Mindanao Cultures and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) will hold CINEMAGIS – 6th Digital Short Film Festival in Northern Mindanao on Jan 23-25 at the Xavier University Little Theater and SM City Cagayan de Oro Cinema.  

CINEMAGIS is a film festival that harvests and complements filmmaking frontiers that capture the voices, aspirations, stories and lore of Northern Mindanao. CINEMAGIS also sends the best films as entries to CINEMA REHIYON, a national film festival organized by the National Committee on Cinema of NCCA.

Apart from film screenings, CINEMAGIS also includes a film making forum and film making workshops to ensure that film making programs are sustained and to nurture the talents of Northern Mindanao.  

Everyone is invited to watch the film screening of CINEMAGIS on Jan 24-25, 12:30 - 5 pm in SM CDO Cinema 3 and XU Little Theater.  CINEMAGIS is a good enrichment activity for students.  

There will also be a crash course on film production on the same dates from 9 am to 12 noon at the XU Little Theater. The crash course is open to all film enthusiasts.
