Xavier Science Foundation Inc (XSF), Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST), and Infant and Pediatric Nutrition of the Philippines (IPNAP), through the Office of Rep Rufus B Rodriguez, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Nov 15, for the delivery of complementary feeding activities under the Department of Science and Technology-Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI)’s Sulong PINOY program.

Sulong PINOY refers to the “Science- and Technology-based Interventions to Address Malnutrition” program designed to tackle the problem among 6 to 35-month-old children. XSF and MUST will employ one of its strategies, Production and Transfer of Complementary Food Blends and Snack Food, with training and technology from DOST-FNRI Region 10.

XSF, through the Food Technology Department of Xavier University-College of Agriculture, and MUST will produce complementary food for the 120-day feeding program to benefit at least 1,000 disadvantaged children in selected communities in Cagayan de Oro City.
