Conforming to the vision of Xavier University to be the leading ASEAN university by 2033, the Center for Integrated Technologies (CIT) has set its mission, vision, and goals during its strategic planning on April 21-22 at Country Village Hotel, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

The entire planning process, following the Balanced Scorecard Framework, had four (4) parts:  Strategic Review, Strategic Analysis, Strategic Formulation, and Setting of Strategic Measures.

As a result, the Center envisions XU-CIT to be the leading institution for Vocational-Technical Education in Asia by 2033.  It has also identified its mission of producing the best technicians in the region.

The Center is faced with many challenges: Sustainability, K + 12 Implementation, ASEAN Integration, among others.  With these challenges, the Center has set its goals on Effective Management, World Class Brand, Sustainable Revenue Growth, Strong Linkages, Quality Products and Services, Strategic Spending, and Learning and Earning Technology.

Dr Dulce Dawang, University Vice-President for Basic Education, called the strategic planning timely since XU-CIT is faced with many dense challenges.  She thanked the participants, the Center’s administrators, faculty and staff, and the facilitators of the planning workshop.

The CIT Strategic Planning was facilitated by Governance and Leadership Institute (GLI) under the leadership of Dr Dixon Q Yasay.  XU-GLI offers trainings and strategic planning workshops using the Balanced Scorecard Framework.
