The Dr Jose P Rizal School of Medicine is one of the country’s best performing schools in medicine based on the list drawn up by the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education.

The Committee ranked the country’s schools based on their performance in the last two Physician Licensure Examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission. XU ranked 9th in the list of top 11 schools.

The other schools are University of the Philippines-Manila; Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila; Ateneo de Manila University; Cebu Institute of Medicine; University of Santo Tomas; University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center;  Cebu Doctors’ University; West Visayas State University-La Paz; Cagayan State University-Tuguegarao; and University of St. La Salle-Bacolod.
