From April 1 to 3, the McKeough Marine Center (MMC) had a training-workshop on “Bathymetric and Resource Survey Mapping” at the XU Marine Station, Solana, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.

The three-day workshop aimed to train and capacitate MMC personnel on basic coastal survey and mapping. The output of the workshop was an integrated bathymetric and marine resource map of the bay fronting the XU Marine Station which would serve as baseline habitat profile for future research studies and as a monitoring reference. Workshop speaker and trainor was Mr Fra-and Quimpo.
 
The activity gave the participants an overwhelming learning experience, full of new information and new techniques with the zest of fun!
