Congratulations to Mr Wendel Abejo, AB Economics '93, MPA 2001 and, presently, XU RSO Social Policy Development Officer, for winning XU’s 80th Anniversary Logo Making Contest.

His entry shows a stylized number 80 fitted with three cut rubies against an XU backdrop. Cast into each gem is the triad character of the University: Filipino (Sun and three stars), Catholic (keys of St Peter) and Jesuit (Jesuit Sun). The texts and borders are set in gray, as the color represents wisdom, conservatism, impartiality and authority.

XU is celebrating its Ruby Jubilee this year since its founding in 1933.
