The Goethe-Institut with GIZ and PECOJON is organizing a photography contest on “Climate Change. Be Aware, Take Care.”

The contest aims to raise awareness among young Filipinos on climate change and what they can do to mitigate its impacts.The Philippines is one of the most vulnerable island states being threatened by natural disasters.

The contest is open to all Filipinos aged 18 to 35 and are residents of the Philippines. They should submit a photo story (max of 10 photos) addressing the issue of climate change and presenting possible solutions and their vision of a better future.

Fifteen winners will be chosen to participate in a creative photography workshop on November 23-26, 2013 in Makati City, to be led by Andy Spyra (Germany) and Veejay Villafranca (Philippines).

Contest closes on Sept 30, 2013.
