Students from the School of Business and Management (SBM) won the Business Idea Development Award 2013 held by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 2-4.
Team CHURVA (Calorie Handler Upgraded Real Time Virtual Application) composed of Jemerson Guinto, BSBA4; Joan AlleneCavalida, BSBA4; David Emmanuel Piol, BSBA4; Mary FibethCalunia, BSECE4; and Elijah Dan Seballos, BSECE4 was declared national champion in the technology category.

Another XU team, Scotch Bites, composed of Gestine Flores, BSBA4; Gospel SheanZablan, BSBA4; Jinnan Banding, BSBA4; Caroline Go, BSBA4 and Tovya Bravo, BSBA4, placed 5th in the food category.
Both teams were coached by Ms Tracy June Dy.
