Allen Arc Megreño, a third-year AB International Studies student, recently completed the 2025 American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Business Leadership Program (BLP), emerging as part of the championship team in the program’s national business pitch competition. Held from May to June 2025, the highly selective program brought together 30 outstanding student leaders from across the Philippines for two weeks of immersive leadership training and strategic business development.
Organized annually by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, the BLP aims to equip rising leaders with practical knowledge and skills in corporate leadership, business strategy, and ethical governance. The program was supported by leading industry partners, including JP Morgan, Capital One, BPI, Citibank, Ford, and Quezon Power.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in a series of leadership talks, workshops, and collaborative projects under the guidance of executives and mentors from AmCham member companies. The highlight of the experience was the AmCham Business Pitch Proposal and Presentation, where participants formed teams to tackle real-world business challenges and pitch innovative solutions before a panel of judges from top corporations.
Megreño’s team along side Alexandros De La Banda from UPLB, Jerry Daan III from MSU IIT, Oliver Santos from University of Makati, Jade Del Rosario from USC, and Sittie Naidah Ibrahim from MSUM, bested strong contenders from other universities and clinched the championship title during the final round held on 6 June 2025. Their winning proposal was praised for its strategic insight, feasibility, and relevance to today’s corporate landscape.
“This program was an incredible opportunity to learn, collaborate, and challenge myself,” said Megreño. “Working alongside passionate, high-caliber peers from all over the country truly pushed me to grow. I’m grateful to have represented our university and to contribute meaningfully to this prestigious platform.”
As he continues his academic journey, Megreño remains committed to honing his leadership skills and contributing to nation-building through innovation, diplomacy, and strategic thinking.
