Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan Junior High School successfully concluded its Intersession Program 2025 last 30 May 2025, themed "Ignite Learning, Elevate Excellence," providing students with a transformative summer learning experience that addressed academic needs, enriched competencies, and expanded horizons beyond the traditional curriculum.
Running for three weeks, the program offered three main tracks: Catch Up! (Remedial Classes) for students needing academic support, Get Ahead! (Enrichment Classes) for those seeking advancement, and Explore More! (Special Interest Workshops) for students desiring to explore creative and co-curricular passions.
Under the leadership of Anito R Librando, Jr, Intersession Program Director and JHS Registrar, and with the support of the key administrators and dedicated faculty, the program saw strong participation and successful learning outcomes. Instructors provided focused support in small group settings, using teaching methods to foster meaningful engagement and growth.
“We are deeply grateful to our instructors who chose to dedicate their summer to helping our students succeed. Their commitment to cura personalis truly brought the theme of this year’s intersession to life,” Librando shared.
At the close of the program, reflection activities encouraged students to take pride in their progress and set goals for continued improvement. Faculty members also shared insights on instructional impact and student growth.

Looking ahead, the JHS Registrar’s Office will continue to provide guidance to families—particularly assisting students on academic probation and facilitating transfers for those who were not able to meet promotion requirements.
As Xavier Ateneo remains committed to excellence in Jesuit education, the Intersession Program this year stands as a testament to the school’s mission: forming learners who are academically prepared, reflective, and ready to grow with purpose.
