Mr Admer Rey C Dablio, a distinguished alumnus of Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, has been awarded the 2025 PFCS-Shimadzu Achievement Award for Service to the Chemistry Profession by the Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS). This award was conferred on 2 July 2025, during the 39th Philippine Chemistry Congress held at the Iloilo Convention Center.

Mr Dablio earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Xavier University in 2010, graduating with Honorable Mention and the Most Outstanding Chemistry Graduate Award. From 2011 to 2013, he served as a part-time Chemistry faculty member at XU, teaching General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. He is currently teaching in the MS Chem graduate program during the Intersession, 2024 to 2025.

In recognition of his professional accomplishments, he was recognized as the Most Outstanding Alumnus for Professional Service in Chemistry by the XU Alumni Association in 2014. His latest awards include the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) Most Outstanding Quality and Productivity Study in 2021; 2023 PRC Region 10 Most Outstanding Chemist; and in June 2024, his team under the DOST OneLab received the Governance Project of the Year – Science and Technology, awarded by GovMedia at the Marina Sands, Singapore.

Currently, Mr Dablio serves as Supervising Science Research Specialist at the Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI), DOST, where he leads key roles in chemical analysis, laboratory quality assurance, continuing professional development, and institutional innovation. His work spans both national and international platforms, including leadership roles in standardization, metrology, and laboratory accreditation. Notably, he is the first Filipino to serve as an officer under a Technical Committee of IMEKO, a global federation for measurement science.

Mr Dablio’s dedication to public service, scientific excellence, environmental stewardship, and servant leadership continues to make the Xavier Atenean spirit shine in the national and global stage.
