Xavier University received recognition for its achievements from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office X during the celebration of CHED’s 58^th ASEAN Founding Anniversary. Kicking off the ASEAN Month with this event, CHED reaffirmed its commitment to regional cooperation, emphasizing inclusive education and advancing sustainable internationalization in higher education. The ceremony was held at Chali Resort and Conference Center in Cagayan de Oro City on 21 August 2025.

The celebration was highlighted by the 4th Regional Quality Awards which honored the outstanding accomplishments and important contributions of Higher Education Institutions and partner agencies that provided unwavering support to CHEDRO X from the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2023-2024 to Academic Year 2024-2025.

XU was cited for its continued commitment to academic excellence, community engagement, and leadership in education and was awarded the following certificates:

1. Certificate of Recognition for being granted Autonomous Status for the period 16 September 2025 to 15 September 2027.

 

2. Certificate of Recognition for its Quacquarelli Symonds Asia University Rankings 2025 - Rank 801-850.

 

3. Certificate of Recognition for being a Top Performing School (Rank 2) in the various licensure examinations covering academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, among Higher Education Institutions in Region 10.

 

4. Certificate of Recognition for producing licensure examination topnotchers (Rank 3) in Nursing, Elementary and Secondary Teachers and Mechanical Engineering for academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, among Higher Education Institutions in Region 10.

 

5. ACE Awards – Certificate of Recognition (Rank 1) for its outstanding performance as most accurate, consistent and efficient Higher Education Institution in the timely submission of required reports to the UNIFAST Unit of CHED Regional Office X, covering academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

 

6. ACE Awards – Certificate of Recognition (Rank 2) for its outstanding performance as the most accurate, consistent and efficient (ACE) Higher Education Institution in the timely submission of required reports to the STUFAP’s Unit of CHED Regional Office X, covering academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.
