On 26 August 2025, Xavier University Grade School and Baluarte Elementary School renewed their partnership for the Fill the Cup Program through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. Now in its second year, this collaboration reaffirms both institutions’ commitment to promoting the overall health and well-being of children through a sustainable feeding initiative.
The Fill the Cup Program, anchored in the values of compassion, commitment, and cura personalis has been instrumental in addressing hunger and improving the nutritional needs of its young beneficiaries. By ensuring that learners are nourished, the program directly supports their growth, learning, and holistic development.
More than a feeding initiative, Fill the Cup also provides a meaningful venue for XUGS students to reach out, extend help, and encounter the realities of life outside the campus. In doing so, it nurtures empathy and strengthens the Jesuit mission of forming young people who are persons for and with others.

The renewal of this partnership highlights the shared mission of both schools to work hand in hand in fostering healthier, more hopeful learners, while strengthening collaboration between institutions and the wider community.
As it enters its second year, Fill the Cup stands as a testament to what can be achieved when schools, families, and communities unite in care and service. Guided by faith, compassion, and commitment, Xavier University Grade School and Baluarte Elementary School continue to journey together in caring for children’s minds, hearts, and bodies.
