Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan has been formally accepted as an Associate Member of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), a significant milestone that underscores the university’s commitment to upholding international standards of quality in higher education.

In a letter issued on 21 July 2025, Assoc Prof Dr Thanapan Laiprakobsup, Acting Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network, confirmed Xavier Ateneo’s admission as an Associate Member, effective 7 July 2025.

The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance is a regional collaborative platform dedicated to strengthening quality assurance practices across Southeast Asian higher education institutions. Through its membership, Xavier Ateneo joins a community of universities working to advance educational quality, benchmarking, and academic cooperation in the ASEAN region.

University officials welcomed the recognition as a validation of Xavier Ateneo’s ongoing pursuit of excellence. The membership will enable the university to take part in quality assurance activities, capacity-building initiatives, and collaborative engagements with fellow ASEAN institutions, further enhancing its academic programs and institutional processes.

Xavier Ateneo’s acceptance into the AUN-QA reaffirms its mission to form men and women for others who are academically competent, socially engaged, and globally competitive while remaining deeply rooted in service to Mindanao and the Philippines.
