Xavier University JHS faculty, Mr Anito R Librando, Jr, completed the Leadership Management Certificate Program (LMCP) with the TESOL International Association, based in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. The program was sponsored by the Regional English Language Office (RELO) – Manila of the US Embassy in the Philippines, which continues to support the professional development of English language educators across the country.

The 6-week intensive online program, awarded with a one-year global membership to TESOL International Association, is designed to strengthen leadership and management competencies of educators worldwide. Through interactive workshops, participants gained knowledge and skills in five key areas: qualities of effective leaders, strategic planning, leadership skills, leadership for teacher change, and technology for leaders.

Mr Librando engaged in reflective and practical learning sessions, developing a leadership and management action plan. Among the program’s learning outcomes, participants explored effective leadership styles, strategies for institutional planning, techniques for time and meeting management, approaches to teacher supervision, and the critical role of technology and artificial intelligence in education leadership.
