The Xavier University – Campus of the Future Development Office, alongside its construction management partner Cebu Landmasters Inc (CLI) and partner contractors, continues to prioritize safety and environmental stewardship at the new campus site. From the project’s early stages, the team has implemented key mitigation and safety systems, including measures to effectively manage surface runoff originating from Masterson Avenue and prevent flooding. This proactive approach ensures the long-term resilience and environmental integrity of the development and its surrounding communities.

Temporary detention ponds are regularly desilted to maintain storage capacity, while outfalls are closely monitored to identify and address potential blockages. The project team has also organized a quick response group that remains on standby during heavy rainfall events to ensure the immediate deployment of corrective actions. In addition, routine inspections and preventive maintenance help minimize the risk of clogging and overflow across the site.

With these measures in place, Xavier University remains committed to maintaining safe, sustainable, and resilient construction operations, supported by its partnership with Cebu Landmasters Inc and its network of contractors, as it navigates the challenges posed by varying weather conditions.
