Xavier University–Ateneo de Cagayan successfully hosted the 2nd International Association of Jesuit Engineering and Science Schools (IAJES) Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on 4 to 5 December 2025, bringing together engineering and science educators, researchers, and students from Jesuit and partner institutions across the region.

With the theme “Integral Innovation: Engineering and Sciences for a Just and Sustainable Future,” the two-day event featured plenary talks, breakout research sessions, and collaborative meetings focused on sustainability, community resilience, digital technologies, and integrative engineering education.
Academic leaders from Jesuit institutions—Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU), Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU), Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU), and Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU)—joined Fr Antonio Basilio, VP for Higher Education of ADDU, in awarding the Best Paper Awards.

Xavier University also welcomed distinguished delegates and partners from Sanata Dharma University (Indonesia), USTP, BuKSU, MSU–IIT, and UP Diliman, strengthening collaborative ties within the academic community.
The conference concluded with the IAJES-AP Representatives Meeting, where member schools discussed joint research projects, benchmarking initiatives, and plans leading up to the IAJES Summit 2026.
