Ms Kale Alphe F Ramos and Mr Anito R Librando, Jr, Grade School (GS) and Junior High School (JHS) Registrars of Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, successfully completed the Seminar on Awareness and Compliance with Republic Act No 9470 (National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007) conducted by the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) from 25 to 28 November 2025 via the NAP Learning Management System.  Republic Act 9470 is a landmark piece of Philippine legislation that establishes the National Archives of the Philippines and mandates it to oversee the management and preservation of public records, including the acquisition, storage, and preservation of public archives.

Designed for agencies seeking guidance on records and archives management compliance, the seminar covered key provisions of RA 9470, standard records management procedures, and the establishment of functional institutional records programs.

The GS and JHS Registrars earned their Certificates of Completion after fulfilling the seminar requirements of LMS module completion and webinar attendance. During the closing program, the University was further recognized as the Most Active Agency, highlighting the participants’ consistent engagement and active participation throughout the training.

Their successful completion of the seminar reinforces the University’s ongoing efforts to align its records and archives management practices with national policies, ensuring integrity, efficiency, and accountability in the management of academic and administrative records.
