The seminar was facilitated by Engr Gerardo S Doroja and Dr Charity Rose A Pagara, university administrators who participated in the AUN-QA Tier 1 Training Course at Program Level held in Thailand. The activity served as an echo seminar to cascade key concepts, frameworks and insights from the training to higher education administrators.

Engr Doroja opened the session with an introduction to the AUN-QA Tier 1 Training Course, followed by a discussion of Tier 1 learning outcomes and levels of expectations. He also discussed the AUN-QA Framework, including the AUN-QA assessment models and their alignment with the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle as a tool for continuous quality improvement.

Dr Pagara complemented the discussion by presenting the criteria and requirements for AUN-QA Program Assessment. Her presentation focused on clarifying the assessment standards, documentation requirements, and the expectations for demonstrating program quality and effectiveness. She emphasized the role of clear outcomes, stakeholder involvement, and consistent quality assurance practices in meeting AUN-QA requirements.

Prior to the end of the activity, Dr Hercules R Cascon, the SQMO Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Management Officer, presented the initial plans of the university with regards to AUN-QA assessment.
