Xavier Ateneo administrators, faculty, formators, staff, and students along with XU Personnel during the PinasXUhan 2025.
In the spirit of gratitude and appreciation, Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan through the Social Development (SD) Cluster recently held PinasXUhan 2025, a gift-giving activity for its maintenance and security personnel. The initiative recognized their dedication and contributions throughout the year to ensure that the Xavier Ateneo campuses are clean, safe, and conducive for learning.
Now on its 3rd year, this simple yet meaningful project provided 371 noche buena packs to workers from the following agencies: DMSI, Helpmate, Envisage Security, Right 8 Security, Sagittarius, Padla, and Versatile to express the university’s thanks for the hard work and support. Noche buena packs were distributed last 18 December 2025, providing a moment of joy and appreciation for all recipients.

LG Jocelyn Matias, an Envisage lady guard assigned in XU Main Campus, expressed a message of appreciation for the opportunity to work in Xavier Ateneo for four (4) years. She shared how being a lady guard helped her in supporting and providing for her family and children. Similarly, Mr Romie Dejarme expressed gratitude on behalf of the DMSI personnel, thanking the university for continuing the project.
Fr Mars P Tan, SJ, University President, delivered his gratitude to the Xavier Ateneo Maintenance and Security Personnel.
The distribution activity was attended by Fr Mars P Tan, SJ, University President; Dr Juliet Q Dalagan, Vice President for Higher Education; Dr Pamela Q Pajente, Vice President for Basic Education; Engr Dexter S Lo, Vice President for Social Development; Engr George M Abasolo, Vice President for Administration; Mr Lan Zonito Q Espinosa, Human Relations Office Director; and Mr Jan Christopher T Gamotin, University Treasurer. Several administrators, students, faculty members, and formators were also present and volunteered during the activity.

The event highlighted the silent service of the workers throughout the year. The Xavier Ateneo community deeply honors the maintenance and security personnel for their dedication and commitment to the university.
