Fr Mars highlighted in his message the deeper meaning of service during the 33rd University Service Awards, noting that while awards symbolize gratitude, they cannot fully measure the lasting impact of one’s dedication to students and the university. He reflected on the natural goodness and commitment he has witnessed among employees, emphasizing that XU’s growth and mission are shaped by sincere, collective service rooted in care for one another. As he expressed his gratitude to the awardees, Jesuits, and retirees, he looked ahead with hope to the university’s future and encouraged all to carry forward a life of purpose, gratitude, and continued service beyond their years at XU.

Instead, she found meaning in the transformation, growth, and guidance shared within the university community as it faced both progress and challenges. As she steps into a new chapter, she conveyed sincere appreciation for the institution and the people who gave her work purpose, carrying with her the joy and fulfillment found in shared experiences.
