Xavier University Junior High School successfully concluded its Intersession Program 2026 on 19 May 2026, marking another meaningful summer of academic growth, student engagement, and transformative learning experiences.

Carrying the theme “Empower Learning, Transform Futures,” the program was designed to address the diverse academic needs of Junior High School learners through structured remedial and enrichment classes. Guided by the dedication of the Xavier University JHS faculty, the intersession became a space where students were given opportunities not only to strengthen academic competencies, but also to rediscover confidence, discipline, and motivation in learning.

The program featured two enrollment categories: “Catch Up!”, which focused on remedial support for students needing reinforcement in core subjects, and “Get Ahead!”, which provided enrichment opportunities for learners seeking advanced academic engagement and preparation for the upcoming school year.

Throughout the program, classrooms were transformed into dynamic learning environments marked by meaningful teacher-student interaction, collaborative activities, reflective exercises, and personalized instruction. Faculty members dedicated part of their summer break to accompany students in their learning journey—demonstrating the school’s continued commitment to cura personalis and academic excellence.

Under the leadership of Mr Anito R Librando, Jr, Intersession Program Director and JHS Registrar and with the support of JHS administrators headed by Ms Lea Lilibeth B Emata, the program emphasized not only academic intervention but also holistic student formation. Reflection activities, mentoring opportunities, and regular feedback sessions encouraged students to recognize their growth and embrace learning with renewed purpose. “Intersession is more than a summer program. It is an opportunity to journey with students, help them regain confidence, and empower them to move forward with hope and resilience,” Librando shared.

The successful implementation of the program was made possible through the collaboration of administrators, faculty members, support personnel, parents, and students who worked together to ensure a productive and meaningful intersession experience.

As the program concludes, XUJHS continues its mission of forming competent, compassionate, and reflective learners who strive for excellence in all that they do.
