The Xavier Stage (TXS), a resident repertory theater company of Xavier University, will stage William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” as adapted by Layeta Bucoy on June 23 – 30 at the XU Little Theater.

“Hamlet” is TXS’s last production for its 3rd theatre season, “Realizing Shakespeare,” which promotes Shakespeare’s classics adapted in the Philippine contexts for cultural understanding.

Hamlet (Recursos) is about hunger for power and revenge evinced in issues surrounding current Filipino society such as illegal mining, political dynasties and clan wars.

This production is part of the formation and art appreciation targets through Artistic Excellence: Drama Program of Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA).

Tickets are sold at Php 100.00 for the Premiere Night show and Php 75.00 during the regular run. Tickets are available at the XU bookstore. For special ticket orders and inquiries, please contact 09278771686 or 858-3116 local 2059.
