The Xavier University Press is pleased to announce that we are now accepting papers for this year’s Publication Awards.

This awards program is the university’s recognition of its faculty’s excellent capacity in research and scholarly writing. It also adds motivation for the faculty to produce work deemed worthy for publication in peer-reviewed or refereed journals and publications.

Submission Guidelines

1. Eligibility: To be eligible for an award, the following criteria must be met:
A. The scholarly work was submitted to Xavier University Press prior to or on the specified deadline

B. The author is a full-time faculty member of Xavier University during the conduct and publication of the scholarly work (although the research or creative work may have been done elsewhere).

2. For co-authored work: The amount of the award will be pro-rated for each XU co-author based on the number of co-authors from Xavier University. Co-authors who are not XU faculty members are not eligible for an award.

3. Publication period: Scholarly works eligible for the awards must have been published during the period of January 1 to December 31 of the preceding year.

4. Submission procedure: Full-time faculty members with publications during the eligibility period apply for an award by submitting the following to the Xavier University Press on or before 12 noon of the 3rd Saturday of March:
