Xavier University, through its Kristohanong Katilingban sa Pagpakabana – Social Involvement Office (KKP-SIO), spearheads a fund-raising drive to help address the basic needs of the displaced residents of Albay due to the anticipated eruption of Mt Mayon.

As of October 7, 57,567 individuals and 12,857 families had evacuated their homes to find shelter at the different relief centers in the province.

KKP-SIO has been closely coordinating with Ateneo de Naga and Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB) for this initiative.

KKP-SIO will start the fund drive within the office of XU and the donations will then be sent to Ateneo de Naga.

The monetary aids will be used to fund relief materials, deployment and delivery of goods, and stress management.

A report of the cash donations will be posted on the XU website regularly.

Interested donors may also deposit directly to Ateneo de Naga’s bank account.
