Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM) and Xavier University are set to hold the 16th SPVM National Physics Conference as well as the 2014 International Conference on Applied Physics and Materials Science (ICAMS) and the 2014 International Scientific Meeting on Complex Systems on October 23–25 at XU.
This scientific gathering in Cagayan de Oro City includes plenary and parallel sessions as well as poster presentations in functional physics education programs, high energy physics, materials science, nanotechnology, computational physics and theoretical physics.
In addition, this annual activity of the SPVM aims to showcase advances in physics research and education, to enhance collaboration among physicists, physics educators and students in the Philippines and contribute to the economic and technological development of the nation.
Registration fees are at Php3, 000 for regular participants and Php2, 750 for student participants.
