Xavier University – Governance and Leadership Institute (XU-GLI) held a training workshop on Governance Performance System for the public officials, department heads and employees of Tubod, Lanao del Norte on October 3-4 at Midway Beach Resort, Initao, Misamis Oriental.

Following the Balanced Scorecard and the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) as framework, the training started with the vision for the community and a logical exercise in which the individual performance of each public servant is linked to the vision of the entire local government unit (LGU).

This was followed by the identification of both the departmental major final output and the right measures in order to achieve the LGU’s desired future.

“Ang GLI training nagtudlo kanamo nga daghan pa gayud diay mi og kinahanglan mahibal-an aron mas maayo pa ang among pag-alagad sa mga katawhan sa Tubod (This GLI training taught us that we still need to learn a lot to better serve the people of Tubod),” said Tubod Mayor Nelieta Q Noval.

XU-GLI continues to strengthen governance performance system of local government units as part of the governance theme under Research and Social Outreach (RSO) cluster.
