Xavier University - Governance and Leadership Institute (XU-GLI) facilitated the multisectoral summit of the municipality of Tudela in Misamis Occidental on February 20 at Tudela’s municipal function hall.

With the theme “Garbong Tudelanhon,” the summit was aimed at identifying the distinctive characters of a quintessential Tudelanhon, reinforcing the Tudelanhon virtues, encouraging people to strive for even nobler aspirations, and instilling pride in the Tudelanhon roots and identity.

The participants of the event were representatives of different groups from the education sector, youth groups, scholars of the local government, professional sector, religious organizations, farmers and fisher folks groups, women’s orgs, senior citizens and persons with disabilities, among others.

“The summit is a jumpstart to igniting participation among stakeholders in local governance. This is also in celebration of the 94th Araw ng Tudela,” said Tudela Mayor Estela Estaño.

With the mission of advancing the governance theme of XU, GLI continues to help build capacities of LGUs across Mindanao.
