The Campus Ministries Office (CMO) and the Chaplaincy Office, in cooperation with the agencies of the security guards, conducted a recollection intended for the security personnel of Xavier University at the Haggerty House on March 1, Sunday.

This activity is an offshoot of the recollection given by the two offices to the security guards a few years ago dubbed as the “alpha course.”

While the alpha course was more doctrinal in nature, the recollection given to the security guards this year focused more on their reflection about their work, and their relationship with God and others.

The recollection also highlighted the appreciation of the Ignatian values which the university assimilates to its students, faculty, formators and staff.  The values include developing the ability to discernment, response to the signs of time, magis (excellence), principle and personal dignity, among others.

Jong Pimentel led the March 1 recollection for the XU security guards. The next batches of recollection will be held on March 8, 15 and 22, to be led by CMO’s Danika Fabella, Michael Acenas and Terence Maceren, respectively, at the same venue.
