Recharged spiritually after their annual 8-day Ignatian retreat in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, the Xavier University - Campus Ministries (XU-CM) hosted the delegates from fellow CMs of other Jesuit schools in a meeting on May 4-6 at the Southeast Asia Rural Social Leadership Institute (SEARSOLIN).

Campus ministers from Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University and Loyola School of Culion drew together for the three-day meeting with the theme “Engagement of the Campus Ministry Office with the Local Church.”

At the said event, XU-CM presented its three major engagements with the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro as part of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro Campus Ministers Association (ACCMA), Archdiocesan Catechetical Ministry (ACM) and Inter-Religious Dialogue Ministry (also known as “Interfaith Group”). Michael Acenas, John Dwight Pimentel and Monalisa Pangan were the presenters, respectively.

Aside from the presentation of the different programs, various speakers were invited to share their experiences of being recipients of the XU-CM involvements with the archdiocese and how the office has made an impact on the local church, on their ministries and their personal lives.

The delegates attended the opening program of the retreat and module-making seminar held annually by the Archdiocesan Catechetical Ministry in collaboration with XU-CM at Minsat, CDO.

After their educational tour and recreational activities in the Agutayan Island in Jasaan, the XU - McKeough Marine Center (MMC) hosted culminating ceremony for the delegates.
