Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA) will put a spotlight to this year's National Heritage Month celebration through “Kabuwadan: Transmission of Heritage from One Generation to Another” on May 13 to 17.

Aligned with Proclamation No 439 signed on August 11, 2003 declaring the month of May as the National Heritage Month, XU supports the efforts in fostering consciousness, awareness, appreciation, respect, love and pride of our Filipino culture, heritage and history.

Kabuwadan has three components: Ang Atong Kabilin— a heritage exhibit from the collection of Museo de Oro, Kabuwadan Showcase featuring the performing arts companies of XU, and the 2015 Museum Association of Mindanao Regional Summit.

Supported by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Kabuwadan (which means “gifts from generations” in Bisaya) forms part of the culture and development program of XCCA under the socio-cultural engagements of XU - Office of Mission and Ministry (OMM) cluster.
