The Xavier University Junior High School (XUJHS) faculty and non-teaching personnel strengthened their sense of community, collaboration, and camaraderie during the third day of the Ignatian Spirituality and Education Workshop (ISEW) 2026 held on 3 June 2026 at Mt Pines Spring and Resort, Dahilayan, Bukidnon.
Bringing together teaching and non-teaching personnel before the opening of the new academic year, the annual workshop provided an opportunity for the XUJHS community to reconnect, foster meaningful relationships, and renew their commitment to the school's mission through the spirit of Pakiglambigit.
In her opening message, Ms Lea Lilibeth Emata, JHS Principal, underscored the significance of ISEW as a longstanding tradition of XUJHS that continues to strengthen the bonds among faculty and staff while nurturing
Ignatian values within the community. She likewise recognized the efforts of the outgoing and incoming JHS Community Club officers and the Office of the Assistant Principal for Formation, led by Ms Gerlie C Villaranda, for organizing the event.
The day featured a series of team-building activities designed to promote teamwork, trust, communication, and collaboration among participants. Through these activities, faculty and staff were encouraged to work together beyond their respective departments, reinforcing the spirit of unity as they prepare for another school year of service and formation.
One of the highlights of the workshop was the Mr and Ms ISEW 2026 competition held in the afternoon. Representing their respective clusters, candidates confidently took the stage in their best summer-inspired attire while earning the enthusiastic support of their colleagues.

After a lively showcase of confidence, personality, and wit, Charles Macalos of Cluster 1 was crowned Mr. ISEW 2026, while Keith Sajulga of Cluster 4 earned the title of Ms ISEW 2026. The event concluded with a pool party and social gathering, allowing participants to enjoy the refreshing mountain atmosphere of Dahilayan while continuing to build connections with one another.
More than a day of recreation and celebration, ISEW 2026 served as a reminder that the strength of the XUJHS community lies in its people. Through Pakiglambigit—the deliberate act of connecting, accompanying, and journeying together—the faculty and staff begin the new school year united in purpose, inspired by mission, and committed to forming young people for and with others.
