The Xavier University Senior High School (XUSHS) community officially commenced the Ignatian Month celebration with the unveiling and blessing of a newly acquired statue of St Ignatius of Loyola on 1 July 2026, 4:00 PM, at the XUSHS Main Lobby.
The statue arrived in time for the launch of the month-long observance honoring the founder of the Society of Jesus.

The unveiling was led by Dr Rogelio L Gawahan, XUSHS Principal, and the blessing rites by Fr Arman Samonte, SJ, XUBE Chaplain.
“The statue arrived just in time for the launching of our celebration of Ignatian Month. This is a dream come true,” said Paulo Fabrigar, Asst Principal for Formation.
The statue of St Ignatius of Loyola will remain on display at the XUSHS Main Lobby throughout July, giving students, faculty, staff, and visitors an opportunity for viewing as well as praying during Ignatian month.
The annual observance highlights the life, spirituality, and enduring legacy of St Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, whose teachings continue to guide Jesuit schools worldwide in forming persons of competence, conscience, compassion, and commitment.

The simple ceremony was closed with a community singing of Amare Et Servire with the St Pedro Calungsod Society.
The statue was procured through the collective effort and generosity of members of the community.
