“Our College of Nursing continues to shine!” said Xavier University president Fr Roberto "Bobby" C Yap SJ, applauding the huge success of XU nursing graduates in the May 2015 board exams.

Four XU grads made it to the top 10. Niña L Sabardan, garnering a score of 85.00%, shared the fifth place with seven others. Trisha Camille A Lagrito got 84.20% and landed on the ninth spot with 20 others. Both Ruel Ray C Cuay and Llybe Kristen S Lobido scored 84.00% and took the 10th spot along with 7 other graduates.

Yap also expressed his commendations to the College of Nursing for the “excellent guidance and support they steadfastly provide to our students.”

XU College of Nursing dean Dr Ramona Heidi C Palad told Sun*Star, “We would have been surprised if they had not landed in the top 10. It was expected.”

“We can’t describe how proud we are of them,” she continued.

In the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on June 23, 9,707 were successful takers of the Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) out of the 17,891 examinees nationwide.

XU also reaped a 100% passing rate after its 27 takers all passed exams, held on May 30-31. The national passing rate is 54.26%.

Yap said, “Congratulations to our new XU nurses! May you be healing instruments of the God of Life!”
